Alfalfa is a good source of digestible fibre and protein and provides slow release energy. Alfalfa also contains good levels of the essential amino acid Lysine. Lysine is used for protein synthesis, cell renewal and tissue and muscle repair. Alfalfa is also high in calcium, which acts as a natural buffer on stomach acid.
